As the FastSpring team has adjusted to the new reality of remote work and continues to support our growing customer base, we have not lost sight of the importance of supporting our local community.

Giving Back to Our Local Community is Part of Our DNA

At FastSpring, we define success as more than making a positive impact on our business and supporting our customers. We focus on volunteerism and giving back to our local community as well. It is a beloved tradition at FastSpring. We offer several volunteer opportunities throughout the year, donation matching, and host events to support various organizations.

The United Boys and Girls Club of Santa Barbara County

The United Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County (UBGC) is a non-profit youth development agency and serves children ages 5-18 years old, from 10 locations across Santa Barbara County. UBGC is a member of the national organization, Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Their mission is “to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.” They focus on helping local youth achieve three priority outcomes: Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles. The organization offers after school programs, free meals, day camps, and more to local children.

We have had a special relationship with the UBGC for many years and it has been a cherished part of the FastSpring employee experience. We look forward to continuing to support this organization.

The UBGC Open the Doors Campaign

The UBGC recognized that families in the local community are struggling to juggle work, lack of child care options, and virtual education in the midst of the global pandemic. Many UBGC members do not have a learning environment at home to support online classes and are at risk of falling behind in their education.

To address these challenges faced by families, the UBGC created the Open the Doors Campaign with the goal of opening four Club sites as community learning centers for families that do not have access to childcare. These centers will provide a safe environment for students to participate in online classes with in-person educational support and free meals. The program costs $150 per week for each student. So the UBGC is hoping to raise $250,000 to provide scholarships to kids with the highest need who would otherwise not be able to afford the fee.

As long-term supporters of the UBGC, we’re thrilled to offer $15,000 to the UBGC Open the Doors Campaign. The UBGC provides so much support for our local community and we are honored to be able to support this incredible organization. We eagerly look forward to the future when we can resume our Corporate Playdates and other volunteer opportunities with the UBGC.
