Today, BigCommerce becomes a 2019 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Digital Commerce

Now more than ever, enterprise buyers have access to an abundance of information to help them throughout the buying process.

Gone are the days of simple word-of-mouth recommendations — now, shoppers work through roughly 8 different touchpoints before ultimately purchasing a product.

In a 2015 survey, Gartner found that 68% of the buying process involved reviewing external reviews, peer recommendations, reviews, and third-party insights.

To date, it’s included categories ranging from CRM lead management to meeting solutions and is seen as a one-stop-shop for enterprise professionals to glean knowledge into what tools work for their business needs.

With the rising tide in online shopping, Gartner introduced a new-for-2019 category — Digital Commerce — to help brands understand the value associated with different ecommerce shopping platforms.

Today, BigCommerce announced that it was named an April 2019 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Digital Commerce platforms.

As of April 19, 2019, BigCommerce earned an average rating of 4.4 out of 5 stars based on 78 verified, end-user reviews contributed to Gartner Peer Insights.

The Importance of Gartner Peer Insights

Peer reviews continue to be one of the more significant buying influences, but recently, shoppers have come to question the validity of written reviews.
