The Daily Record Monday-Friday edition will increase by 5p to 90p from 23 November and the retail profit per copy sold will increase to 18p.

In addition, the Daily Record Saturday edition will increase by 10p to £1.40 on the following weekend (Saturday 28 November), which will see the retail profit per copy sold increase to 28p.

NFRN national president, Stuart Reddish, said: “Now, more than ever, members need pro-rata terms to rely on and Reach should be thanked for this move. The new prices for both papers will see increases in retail profit per copy sold for retailers.

“After meeting with Reach editors and circulation chiefs recently, this price rise and accompanying margin boost is evidence of our commitment to work closer together.”
