Nisa launches new horticulture pre-sell event

Nisa has launched its latest horticulture pre-sell event, which covers Mother’s Day and Easter.

The symbol group’s Mother’s day range – which includes 29 Co-op branded flower products offering bouquets, plants, and a gift bag containing a plant and a mini bottle of prosecco – is available for partners to order on a pre-sell basis from now until mid-October.

Josie Bates, wholesale category controller at Nisa, said: “Last year, despite Mother’s Day falling at a time when the country entered into lockdown, the sales in Mother’s Day flowers performed extremely well, especially given the circumstances.

“Sales were up by 73% year-on-year and since going into lockdown, we have seen growth continue to strive in this category, with credit to the job our suppliers continue to do in supplying fresh and great quality flowers.”

The symbol group is holding a competition for the best Mother’s Day flower display with the winning retailer receiving £100 in Nisa credit.

In addition, the Easter range of flowers is also now on pre-sell, with 12 Co-op flower bouquets and plant lines to choose from. The range will feature yellow and white colours with a twist of blue in some of the bouquets.
