ACS to launch Local Shop Report in September

The Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) is launching its 2021 Local Shop Report in Birmingham on 8 September.

The event, which is free to attend in person or online, will explore the findings of this year’s report and look at the stores, people and services within the sector.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Christine Hope, partner and founder, Hopes of Longtown
  • Trudy Davies, business owner, Woosnam and Davies News
  • Nigel Prendergast, head of customer marketing and business support, One Stop
  • James Lowman, chief executive, ACS
  • Will Nelson, head of supplier relations, ACS
  • Sarah C Johnson, head of retailer engagement, ACS
  • Rosie Wiggins, research assistant, ACS

ACS chief executive James Lowman said: “We’re excited to launch our Local Shop Report, which is now in its tenth year and has become an established guide for the convenience sector, providing key insights on the people, businesses and the services offered by local shops and what these means for communities across the UK.

“This year’s report will build on data from previous editions and provide an overview of how local shops have responded to the opportunities and challenges presented by the coronavirus pandemic.”
