Webinar: Salesforce Survey Takes The Pulse Of Marketers And Global Consumers

Register For This Webinar: August 12th at 2:00 PM ET

Numerous industry experts have commented that COVID-19 has
accelerated many existing retail trends, most notably consumers’ embrace of
digital commerce. But what do those who are directly involved in
decision-making — marketers on one side, consumers on the other — really think
about this shift?

On August 12 at 2 pm Eastern, the Retail TouchPoints (RTP) webinar, Analyzing The Shift To Digital From 7,000 Marketers And 1B Consumers Worldwide, will reveal answers to these and other key questions. Data will come from the 6th edition of the Salesforce State of Marketing report, which surveyed nearly 7,000 global marketing executives.

In the previous edition of the State of Marketing Report, the
median number of customer data sources for marketers was projected to jump from
10 in 2017 to 15 in 2019 — a 50% increase in just two
years. The pandemic has increased digital customer interactions, so that trend
is likely to be amplified even further.

Understanding consumer behaviors will be key to building a
retail environment in a post-pandemic environment. The Salesforce Shopping
Index, which collected insights from more than one billion consumers
worldwide, will be part of the webinar discussion. The index’s insights can
guide marketers looking for engagement with more empathetic messaging.

The webinar also will cover how emerging technologies such
as artificial intelligence can help retailers overcome data management
challenges resulting from more digital-centric customer engagement. Navigating modern
marketing channels requires an increased effort to use analytics and
personalize customer interactions, the bulk of which are now taking place
online.

Debbie Hauss, Executive Director of Content for RTP, will
lead the discussion of how consumers are using digital during this “new normal,”
and how retailers can leverage insights to drive engagement. Salesforce
executives Caila Schwartz and Megan Hostetler will join Hauss for the
discussion. Schwartz is a Senior Industry Strategist at Salesforce Commerce
Cloud, formerly Demandware. Her background includes extensive data analysis and
storytelling, and her main focus is giving retailers a competitive edge by identifying
new opportunities based on data-driven evidence. Hostetler is a product
marketing manager focused on Retail and Consumer Goods, with a background in
email and mobile messaging.
