The new head lease was secured by AF Blakemore & Son, who will now supply the store.

The family-run store has been owned and operated by Salamaan Rasul since 1983, who is now looking to pursue other interests and focus on other business interests following the sale.

Rasul said: “My family and I have thoroughly enjoyed our time running the store over the past 38 years, but we are now looking forward to moving onto other ventures.”

Jamie Williams, a business agent in Christie & Co’s Retail team, added: “With an off-market approach we were able to create a new lease, securing a corporate tenant for our client. This will provide them with a stable income and excellent covenant strength for years to come.”
