The “Kit Out Your Community” fund will be put towards providing sports equipment and kit for suitable causes of the retailer’s choice, such as schools, local sports teams or community centres.

The competition is running until 23 July and forms part of activity around Birds Eye’s Green Cuisine brand supporting Team GB.

To be in entered into the prize draw, retailers will need to demonstrate that they stock Birds Eye Green Cuisine Burgers in a £2.50 price-marked pack in their store, either by email an image of their freezer to group.birdseye@cirkle.com, or by downloading the Shopt* app and redeeming the Birds Eye Green Cuisine reward.

Sarah Koppens, Birds Eye marketing director, said: “After such a challenging year, in which we saw communities rely on their local retailers, we are thrilled we can offer these retailers a chance to become an even more integral part of their shoppers’ lives through our ‘Kit Out Your Community’ campaign.”
