The company said the entry-level machine is ideal for stores where space may be at a premium and can produce up to 150 beverages per day.

The S15 machine features “patented Cimbali technologies”, such as Smartboiler, a Wi-Fi telemetry system which “allows the remote monitoring of machine performance”, and hot textured milk technology.

The seven-inch touchscreen can be customised with 96 different recipes to choose from based on fresh coffee beans, fresh or powder milk, and soluble chocolate.

Daniel Clarke, managing director of La Cimbali, said: “It seems that the industry has done such a great job of educating people through lockdown that we have become a nation of expert home baristas.

“This translates to a steep rise in expectations amongst consumers when enjoying beverages out of home.

“The S15 offers real benefits as it allows businesses to compete with the high street by offering a great range of premium quality drinks, prepared to a professional barista standard, even if the daily coffee volumes are quite low.”
