You have quite a few customer review platforms to choose from, but today we’d like to compare three of the most popular ones:

Trust Pilot’s platform is built on its review invitations, where it gives you templates to send out messages that prompt people to write reviews. It also has a community (similar to Yelp) where users go on the site to review all sorts of businesses. Therefore, you have access to this willing community, but you’ll have to manage a company profile.

I like the Trust Boxes, which are little widgets to showcase your reviews on a website. I’m curious as to how many people actually go on Trust Pilot to make reviews, but the product review integration seems more beneficial for ecommerce stores.

You can also integrate with Facebook, respond to reviews and publish ratings on search engine results.

Feefo has a Shopify plugin, and it integrates with any website that has product pages. The setup is simple enough, and it’s far more basicย and automated than Trust Pilot.

Basically, a person comes to your site and buys a product. Feefo sends an automated email requesting a review, then a simple form is provided for the user to make the review.

The ratings are published on your site and show up on search engines. Not to mention, you can share them on social media.

Yotpo has more specific integrations than the other solutions. For example, you can quickly integrate with options like Shopify, Bigcommerce, WooCommerce, Magento, Volusion, 3dCart, Ecwid and many more. Therefore, I would argue that Yotpo wins the setup battle.

They do tend to focus more on retention and marketing, making it a complete suite. As for the reviews, Yotpo has customized emails and forms that are automatically sent out after a purchase. In addition, the emails try to upsell customers on different products.

Users can post their own photos to reviews, and if someone doesn’t post a review you can send them reminders.

It’s hard to argue against the sleekness of Feefo, so I give that it number one spot in terms of UX. However, Yotpo has incredibly simple email templates that are designed to increase conversions. Not to mention, the upselling is a nice bonus.

The cheapest Trust Pilot plan starts at $299 per month, with support for collecting and displaying reviews, along with 30 invitations per month and sharing to social media accounts. The next plan requires a quote, but you gain access to 1000 review invitations per month, rich snippets, exporting, HootSuite integration and more. Finally, the third plan also requires a quote, but you get more than 1000 invitations per month, customer API, a customer success manager and ZenDesk integration. Keep in mind that you can claim your profile for free.

Feefo has a free trial to test out the system. Somewhat similar to Trust Pilot, each of the plans are custom tailored for each business. Therefore, you need to contact Feefo to understand how much you’re going to be paying. However, they do have common plans listed on the website, including a Business account with 200 feedback emails, 10 user accounts and tons of review features. The Pro plan offers up to 1,000 feedback emails and 15 user accounts, while the Enterprise plan has over 5,000 feedback emails and unlimited user accounts.

As I’ve come to realize, it seems like this industry isn’t all that transparent with its pricing. Yotpo is no different. You can signup for a free trial, but establishing a price depends on you manually calling in and talking to a representative. The Lite plan is completely free (forever,) but it only gives you an in-mail form, review generation and on-site display.

Otherwise, you can choose from threeย other plans: Pro comes with review generation, on-site display, retention, marketing, SEO, content management and great support. The Powerhouse plan has everything from the previous plans, plus things like a CSS editor, community Q&A, Facebook reviews tab and three seats for review moderation.

I like Yotpo since it includes the free Lite plan, allowing companies to test out the software and not end up paying any money down the road. However, it really depends on your company, so I recommend contacting each service to see which platforms gets you the best bang for your buck.

Trust Pilot has a support ticketing system for asking questions about their service. They also offer case studies, guides, webinars and various other documents for learning about companies that have found success with Trust Pilot.

Besides the online support center, Trust Pilot has email support, live onboarding, phone support and a customer success manager for the highest paid plan.

Technical support is provided with each Feefo plan, and you also receive account management depending on the plan you select. As for online support, we like that Feefo includes a knowledge base, blog, white papers, user guides and API documents. Overall, I would say it’s the most comprehensive support on the market.

Yotpo does a quality job with support as well, with a blog and an insane amount of resources like eBooks, success stories, webinars, news, FAQs and product information. The API documents are all accounted for, and a dedicated account manager comes with the Pro account and higher.

The knowledge base is top notch, and you can always send in an email or ticket if needed. I don’t see anything for live chat or phone calls, but I would assume the dedicated account manager is there when you need.

Does Any Customer Review Platform Stand Out?

Although all of the support docs and teams look solid, I would rank them like this: Feefo, Yotpo then Trust Pilot. The Trust Pilot support seems more hidden than the others, and they seem to have more sales support than anything.

However, Feefo and Yotpo provide wonderful interfaces for finding documentation, and it’s easy to contact the company.

Which Customer Reviews Platform Should You Choose?

If you’re looking for the best customer support in a customer review platform, go with Feefo. Yotpo is currently the clear choice for the cheapest option, but anything besides the Lite plan might change that for your particular company.

As for the overall interface and feature-sets, I recommend Feefo, then Yotpo, then Trust Pilot. The only time I would consider Trust Pilot over the others is when you’re trying to take advantage of the Trust Pilot community.

    What about from a Customer Perspective? I as a consumer can easily find trust pilot reviews but have struggles to read reviews from other people on Feefo, it only ever asks me for a trial which as a consumer isn’t relevant? Have not looked at Yotpo as of yet.
    Thoughts?

      I have just found it easily, just start to type the company name in search box, click on company and voila !
