Amacor Capital has completed the purchase of a store in Newton-le-Willows, St Helens, Merseyside, and has just opened its doors to shoppers – just a week after it ceased trading as a Co-op.

It will have a new Nisa Local fascia along with an enhanced range comprising the Co-op own-label range and a branded offer with regular Nisa promotions.

“Other features include the National Lottery, Pay Point, an ATM, drinks and food-to-go and Costa Coffee and Tango Ice Blast.

Alex Wilson, head of acquisition at Amacor, said: “This site is a busy one and we’ll be looking to build on the existing customer base that has been established by the Co-op and attracting more shoppers through the addition of new services and products.

“We will be operating with the same store team and manager, so shoppers will get the same great level of service they are accustomed to while enjoying more choice and some fantastic prices and promotions.”

The new store means the company now operates 15 Nisa stores with further growth to come by the end of 2021.
