Home Depot reported a 25 percent gain in U.S. same-store sales, well above the 20.9 percent consensus among analysts. The home improvement retailer’s profit came in at $2.65 a share, above the consensus of $2.63. The company chose not to give full-year guidance citing uncertainties around the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic in the U.S. and other markets where it operates.
