Republic Technologies bolsters Zig-Zag range with new lighters

The range consists of Utility Lighter, Kitchen Lighters, and Candle Lighters, each retailing at £1.

Each range comes in five colours and retail at £1. The Candle Lighters come in packs of 18 and the Utility and Kitchen Lighters come in packs of 12.

Republic Technologies said the new launches will help retailers to make the most of cross-category sales and offer shoppers more choice, and retailers should “dual-site each range with related categories to drive sales and encourage impulse purchases”.

Gavin Anderson, general sales manager at Republic Technologies, said: “The UK candle lighters market is currently worth £432k and following the recent withdrawal of the biggest supplier of candle lighters, there’s a gap in the market for retailers to invest in a proven supplier of quality lighters to bring sales and growth to the category.

“Shoppers are looking for quality, safety assurance and value in household lighters and these products deliver on all three.”
