Discount luxury e-tailer THE OUTNET is adding menswear to its lineup in the U.S. following similar expansions beyond womenswear in the UK, EMEA and Asia earlier this year.
Launched in 2009, THE OUTNET is owned by Italian online fashion retailer YOOX Net-a-Porter Group and focuses on curated selections of past-season designer apparel. The company’s global expansion into menswear is a key growth and new customer acquisition strategy, according to a brand statement, and comes as the luxury sector heats up worldwide, particularly online.
THE OUTNET U.S. now features a dedicated menswear homepage and will be accompanied by menswear-focused editorial and marketing campaigns. Menswear also will now be eligible for THE OUTNET’s online resale service. “Over the past 10 years, THE OUTNET has offered a curated selection of previous-season designer womenswear brands at up to 70% off, and is extremely excited to be adding menswear into the assortment,” said Emma Mortimer, Managing Director of THE OUTNET in a statement. “We have a fantastic selection of brands, including established partners like Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Sandro, rag & bone and Acne Studios.”
