Bed Bath & Beyond to issue shares to pay off debt

Bed Bath & Beyond said it would issue 11.7 million shares of its stock to some of the firms holding its bonds. The shares will pay off $123 million of the $1 billion in debt the retailer owes with notes coming due in 2024, 2034 and 2044.
