Delivering Good Names New CEO

Delivering Good, which provides retail and manufacturing companies with charitable ways to manage their surplus goods, has named Matthew Fasciano as its new President and CEO. He replaces Lisa Gurwitch, who stepped down in January 2022 after seven years in the position to join the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee. Gary Simmons has been serving as interim CEO since Gurwitch’s departure.

Fasciano comes to Delivering Good with a long history in education, social and juvenile justice, most recently serving as the COO for 15 years at The Posse Foundation, where he provided vision, thought leadership and programmatic oversight for a national college success and youth leadership development nonprofit. He began his career at the New York City Board of Education, and after receiving his MSW he did clinical work, mostly in the substance abuse realm, before earning his law degree and moving on to work with the Queens County District Attorney’s Office and the New York City Department of Juvenile Justice.

“Matthew joins Delivering Good at a crucial time when we expect the need for our services to increase due to economic and other stressors that are forcing more people to look for support,” said Andrea Weiss, Chair of the Delivering Good board of directors in a statement. “Under his leadership we will continue to roll out our Vision 2026 strategic plan, which includes expanding our reach, working more closely with our network of community partners and increasing the amount of new product we provide, all in service of doing more for the many families and individuals we serve.”
