Amazon Workers in UK Warehouse to Strike on Black Friday Over Pay Dispute

Over 1,000 workers at an Amazon warehouse in Coventry, UK, are set to strike for four days in November, including on Black Friday, as part of an ongoing dispute over pay, according to the GMB trade union. The walkouts are scheduled for Nov. 7-9 and Nov. 24, traditionally a busy shopping day. Amazon’s UK Country Manager, John Boumphrey, stated that the company provides competitive wages and benefits in response to the strike announcement.
