Americans use Apple Pay to buy lots of stuff

When Apple Pay was first introduced in 2016, 10 percent of iPhone owners used it to pay for purchases. Today that number is up to around 75 percent of those with an iPhone. Apple says 90 percent of retailers in the U.S. now accept Apple Pay.
