Shinola and Filson to Update In-Store Experience with Omnichannel Platform

Shinola home page

Shinola and Filson will modernize their in-store experiences with mobile POS, order management and store inventory solutions from NewStore. Both retail brands are owned by Bedrock Manufacturing; Filson is known for high-end outdoor clothing and accessories, and Shinola offers products including timepieces, leather goods, jewelry and audio.

Adopting NewStore’s modular, mobile-first omnichannel cloud platform will allow Filson and Shinola store associates to provide more personalized service by consolidating customer, order and inventory data into one iOS app. Associates will be equipped with iPhones that will allow them to access real-time data, assist customers more efficiently and process transactions from anywhere on the store floor.

“Our brands are committed to providing customers with the highest quality products and experiences,” said Jonathon Pop, Principal Architect at Bedrock in a statement. “By rolling out NewStore at Filson and Shinola, we will dramatically improve how shoppers interact with both businesses. The partnership will streamline operations, improve inventory accuracy and help our retailers gain valuable insights about their customers, all while offering a more unified shopping experience.”

Filson operates a total of 14 stores in the U.S., Canada and Japan. Shinola operates 21 stores across the U.S., concentrated in its home state of Michigan as well as Illinois and Ohio.
