Wegmans tests security system to deter shopping cart theft

Wegmans has activated a security system that will lock the wheels of shopping carts if anyone attempts to take them off the lot at a store in Auburn, NY. The family-owned grocery chain said it was evaluating the technology to see if it could cut the cost of replacing stolen carts.
