Pay gap between CEOs and workers widened during the pandemic

CEO pay jumped 14.1 percent last year compared to 1.9 percent for the median employee, according to a survey conducted by Equilar, an executive compensation firm. Chief executives earned 274 times that of the median worker at their companies last year, up from 245 percent in 2019.
