McDonald’s Is Creating a Spinoff Restaurant Brand Called CosMc’s

McDonald’s is developing a spinoff restaurant brand called CosMc’s, which will be a small-format concept with its own unique personality, according to CEO Chris Kempczinski. The brand takes inspiration from CosMc, a McDonaldland mascot from the late 1980s and early 1990s, who is an alien craving McDonald’s food. The company plans to test CosMc’s in “a limited geography” in early 2024 and will reveal more details about the project at its investor day in December.
