Wendy’s has unveiled its first “next gen” restaurants that prioritize technology and digital ordering, with a focus on drive-thru, dine-in, and digital order pickup. The design features self-service kiosks, pickup shelves for mobile orders, and dedicated parking spaces for delivery drivers. These tech-focused restaurants aim to meet the increasing demand for digital sales, and by the end of 2024, over 200 such restaurants are expected to be open globally, offering more efficient operations and cost savings for both the company and franchisees.
