J.Crew’s new app offers advanced notice on new merchandise and faster checkouts
June 12, 2023
The new J Crew app gives users 48 hours advance notice on new merchandise launches, personalized recommendations and faster checkout. “We launched our J.Crew Passport loyalty program in the last couple of years, and we have seen a lot of success there,” said CMO Derek Yarbrough. “This app is an extension of that program to drive adoption from our most loyal customers, while also appealing to a new customer doing the majority of their shopping online.”
On the heels of its J.Crew Passport rewards program, the brand looks to increase its retail experience with a new J Crew app. The app aims to make checkout faster for customers while helping provide a better personalized product recommendation.
Users will also be alerted of new special collaborations and new upcoming products. To help shoppers prepare for this change, there will be two upcoming collections launched in July that will mark the first products to be sold from the app ahead of their availability on the website and in stores.
The company reports that their rewards program has seen success during its relatively recent release a few years ago. By releasing their app as a follow up, the brand plans for the two platforms to work in tandem, strengthening each other, and carrying the retailer into the future.
