A wide variety of consumer packaged goods manufacturers, including those making cereal, disposable diapers and toilet paper, are raising prices. Retailers, in the past, might have absorbed or only passed through a portion of those increases to their customers. That has not been the case during the pandemic with price increases tied to a variety of factors beyond the control of trading partners.
