Most major chain retailers in the U.S. appear to be open on New Year’s Eve, with the majority closing around 6 pm. GameStop closes at 8 pm, Target closes at 9 pm and Walmart closes at 10 pm or 11 pm, depending upon location. Walgreens, Rite Aid and CVS’s hours vary by location.
