Archeologists recently uncovered an ancient thermopolium (food stand) in Pompeii. Believed to be one of about eighty in the city, the stand is nearly 2,000 years old. Popular dishes included mallard, chicken, duck, fava beans and paella with a hodgepodge of ingredients. Wine was served to wash it all down.
