Large technology companies have been laying off workers, which creates more competition for jobs. Recent grads with various information technology degrees are finding it tougher to find work. Students are also finding fewer internships to provide them with experience for life after school. Amazon.com is considering cutting the number of interns it employs by more than half, according to someone with knowledge of the company’s plans.
