Consumers made more and spent more in August

Americans’ personal income grew 0.4 percent in August, slightly outpacing the 0.3 percent gain in consumer prices. Consumer spending during the month was up 0.4 percent following a decline in July.

Waffle House workers in Conyers, Georgia, are now on their third day of striking over what they call the company’s unfair policies.
