It’s time again for Forrester’s annual awards: the Technology Strategy Impact Awards and the Enterprise Architecture Awards. As the research director for Forrester’s enterprise architecture (EA) coverage, I am now leading the EA Awards.

The EA Awards started in 2010 with partners in media and education and have continued annually since then without interruption (we’ll publish a more detailed blog on the history presently). This will be the 14th annual award.

The big EA awards news this year: For the first time, we are partnering with The Open Group. The Open Group has been the leading global supporter and advocate for the discipline and practice of enterprise architecture. The Open Group authors and maintains the TOGAF®IT4IT™, ArchiMate®, Open Agile Architecture™, and DPBoK™ standards, along with other digital open standards.

The Open Group also partners with the Association of Enterprise Architects (AEA). The AEA is a global network of EA professionals who are working together to advance enterprise architecture and promote professional excellence.

“In an increasingly complex and turbulent world, enterprise architecture remains essential to delivering digital value, and we are thrilled to be partnering with Forrester Research on these awards,” says Steve Nunn, The Open Group president and CEO.

The awards are open: Submit an entry by the deadline of Monday, June 19, 2023! To view complete award nomination criteria and submit an entry, visit here (NA), here (EMEA), or here (APAC). Winners will be announced and cases discussed at Forrester’s regional Technology & Innovation Forums (in AustinLondon, and Sydney) and The Open Group meetings.

I’m humbled by the opportunity to manage this award. Looking at the previous entries, I see a long history of excellence in architecture and am again convinced of its importance to digital and IT organizations.
