Hershey Releases New Reese’s Big Caramel Cup

November 10, 2023

In an official press release from The Hershey Company, Reese’s, well-known for its combination of chocolate and peanut butter, is launching a new addition to its product range: the Reese’s Caramel Big Cup.

This candy innovation adds a rich layer of caramel to the already-perfect peanut butter cup. And for the first time ever, this combination is presented in a Big Cup format, creating both a large portion and a big statement.

“Next to peanut butter, caramel is the most requested combination with chocolate — and while Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are already perfect, ask, and you shall receive. As the experts in chocolate and peanut butter deliciousness, we know what our fans want, and we’re delivering on that with the Reese’s Caramel Big Cup.”

Emily Stover, Reese’s senior associate brand manager

A 2021 Change.org petition titled “Bring Back Reese’s Peanut Butter Caramel Cups” nostalgically reminded candy lovers that Reese’s once produced a delectable blend of peanut butter cups with caramel before discontinuing it in 2006. The heartfelt plea was initiated by Dakota Adams, who urged Hershey to reintroduce the caramel-infused peanut butter cups.

In their appeal, Adams stated, “I think Reese’s could make some [real] money with this, if properly thought out and planned. Along with this, I think everyone could use a brand new rendition [of] caramel, chocolatey, peanut butter goodness.” And it seems their plea was answered, as starting on Nov. 17, Reese’s Caramel Big Cups will be available nationwide in both standard and king-size packages.
