New Nintendo Theme Park To Open in Orlando

May 3, 2024

A new Nintendo theme park is set to open in Orlando in 2025.

Soon, theme park fans can experience all the action and vibrant fun of their favorite Nintendo video games when Super Nintendo World debuts at Universal Orlando Resort. The new park will be one of five imaginative worlds at the all-new Universal Epic Universe theme park. A press release states that the latest addition to Orlando’s theme parks was developed in partnership between the visionaries of Universal Creative and Nintendo.

The release states that the park will deliver an environment where guests can experience the fun and adventure of Nintendo games in a whole new way. The fun begins when you enter the park where guests will be greeted by Nintendo’s iconic green pipe, which ushers guests into the adventure.

Guests will be welcomed by the characters and items beloved by Nintendo fans, from Mt. Beanpole and majestic Peach’s Castle to swaying Piranha Plants, pacing Goombas, spinning coins, ? Blocks, and other iconic Nintendo items.

The park includes Super Mario Land, where guests can meet Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and other characters from the Mushroom Kingdom. Rides include Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, where guests travel through the Mushroom Kingdom landscape in search of glowing eggs.

There’s also Donkey Kong Country, where visitors will explore the lush, tropical landscape from the video game series, complete with tall trees, waterfalls, and landmarks such as The Golden Temple. Also, on the Mine-Cart Madness ride, guests will ride in a mine cart through the jungle to help Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong protect the coveted golden banana.

Yoshi’s Adventure, a family-friendly ride, will also debut and have guests join Yoshis on a journey through Mushroom Kingdom landscapes in search of glowing eggs, encountering familiar characters along the way.

Beyond the rides, there will also be plenty of themed eateries, including the Toadstool Cafe, Yoshi’s Snack Island, and Turbo Boost Treats. The 1-Up Factory and Mario Motors will also be available for gifts and take-home essentials.

The Orlando installment is the third Super Nintendo World at Epic Universe park. There are also theme parks at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Japan.
