U.S. retail sales, excluding autos, rose 0.2 percent in February as consumers reduced their online spending and rising fuel prices drove dollar sales of gas. January’s retail sales number was revised upward to 4.9 percent, which demonstrates a solid economy despite numerous headwinds like rising prices.
