A lawsuit against OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, claims that it violates people’s copyrights and personal privacy across the Internet when it uses scraped data to make its technology smarter. “All of that information is being taken at scale when it was never intended to be utilized by a large language model,” said Ryan Clarkson, the managing partner of the law firm that filed the suit.
