Dollar Tree is offering a compromise with the activist investor Mantle Ridge that would see it add Richard Dreiling, former CEO of Dollar General, to its board of directors. The investment firm, which owns 5.7 percent of Dollar Tree’s stock, had been looking to replace the retailer’s full slate of directors.
