Retailers that pledged to expand their selection of Black-owned brands in the wake of George Floyd’s murder last year are making progress towards their goals, with some further along than others. Sephora, for example, expects that 15 percent of its haircare category products will be manufactured by Black-owned companies by the end of 2021.
