Tech leaders want to hit pause on ChatGPT

Artificial intelligence experts and technology leaders in the hundreds of have signed an open letter calling for a pause on further development of AI tech more powerful than OpenAI’s GPT-4 so that the risks associated with its use can be accurately assessed. Signatories to the letter include Yoshua Bengio, an AI pioneer, Skype cofounder Jaan Tallinn, and Twitter CEO Elon Musk.
