And finally, we have yet another AI content detector. This one is from Crossplag. I don’t have a ton of detail about this one, but here’s what I CAN tell you.
I tested it with some content written by ChatGPT, and it accurately detected it as written 100% by AI. It’s also free and simple to use.

But here’s the thing… It’s output isn’t intuitive. You can kind of get a sense for which words or phrases are problematic, because they’re color-coded. However, it doesn’t give you an overall likelihood percentage as to whether the content is AI or Human written. Most of the other tools do offer this, which I think is more helpful for the average user.
You would think that Google would have an AI content detection tool or two, wouldn’t you?
Well the sad excuses I found for publicly available tools were not great. So much so that I left them off of this list.
That being said, you can bet that Google does have some sophisticated detection methods behind the scenes. They are likely already scanning for and factoring AI written content in their search algorithms. And it kind of makes sense that they wouldn’t want the public messing around with those tools.
