Samsung merging its mobile and consumer electronics groups

Samsung Electronics is merging its consumer electronics and mobile business units. The new group will now be known as Set Division. It will be led by JH Han, who was promoted to CEO. Mr. Han has plans to take a central role in Samsung’s television business and is expected to focus on finding “synergies among the different businesses in the Set Division” to develop new technologies and drive sales and profits.
