REI And West Elm Debut Co-Curated Outdoors Collection

REI and West Elm have introduced the co-branded REI x West Elm collection of outdoor lifestyle products, which will be merchandised in the stores of both retailers and on their respective e-Commerce sites at REI.com/westelm and Westelm.com/REI. The partnership marks the first time that REI Co-op is selling gear through another retailer.

A year in the making, the 35-product collection includes such items as folding chairs, reusable melamine tableware, outdoor blankets and pillows, and a portable shade shelter. Prices range from $6 to $199.

“We designed this modern collection of colorful everyday entertaining essentials and sustainably sourced outdoor textiles to complement REI Co-op’s high performing recreational gear,” said Jeffrey Hannoosh, SVP of Design for West Elm in a statement.

After two months of temporary store closures, REI began reopening in mid-May, aiming to have curbside pickup available at more than half of its 162 units in time for its May 15-25 annual anniversary sale. Some stores also will be open to the public based on local regulations. Inside those stores, face coverings will be required for employees and customers, who will be offered free disposable face coverings. West Elm also is opening stores as local communities allow.
