Ecommerce platform Shopify is now aiming to help retailers sell anywhere through its unified POS Go all-in-one retail hardware device for omnichannel sellers. This latest addition to Shopify’s offerings relies on the company’s point-of-sale software, which is designed to allow retailers to sell online and offline. Merchants can gain a complete understanding of the customer journey to support on-the-spot personalized experiences.

Shopify’s new POS Go solution was created to help retailers through:

  • Checkout capabilities from anywhere: Shopify incorporated a built-in barcode scanner that can allow retailers to begin the checkout process from anywhere in the store while offering detailed product information, customer notes and purchase history. Retailers also are able to build carts in store and share them with customers via email to complete at a later time;
  • Payment confidence: A built-in, fully integrated card reader allows retailers to accept tap, swipe and chip payments; and
  • Business insight: Retailers can view sales, analytics and inventory from every channel through Shopify’s unified view, which is designed to automatically synchronize changes across the business.
