Direct-to-consumer sales in a growing number of categories have increased demand for supply chain technologies. Nike is an example of a company moving in this direction with 24 percent of its total sales coming through its digital channels. “A more digitally connected Nike is a more valuable Nike,” said Matthew Friend, Nike CFO.
