Companies use AI to remove bias from current AI systems

The National Institute of Standards and Technology, a government research laboratory, released a proposal this week detailing how businesses can fight bias embedded in artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Many within the tech industry acknowledge the unintended consequences of bias in current systems and the need to remove it. Studies in recent years have pointed to bias against women, racial minorities and other groups from a wide variety of technologies that are supported by AI.
