Manchester c-store sold to first-time buyers

Aspull Moor Spar & Post Office, an established Spar-branded convenience store and post office in Greater Manchester, has been bought by first-time buyers for an undisclosed sum.

The previous owners, the Procter family, have operated the store for more than 66 years. and are now looking forward to a well-earned retirement.

The new leasehold has been secured by the Subramaniyam family, who have decided to stay with the Spar brand, and are keen to add more product lines to the convenience store and post office.

James Moore-Martin, from Christie & Co, said: “This is a deal we agreed and progressed through the pandemic and I’m absolutely delighted for both the buyer and seller that we have completed.”
