The 600g loaf retails at £1.55 and is available from Budgens, One Stop, McColls, Nisa, Londis, Bargain Booze and Spar stores.

The wholemeal loaf contains a mix of golden linseed flour, brown linseeds, sunflower and poppy seeds and quinoa, with just 92 calories per slice.

The brand said the bread provides an excellent source of protein, has a high fibre and vitamin D content and is low in saturated fat.

The packaging is made from sustainably sourced paper that contains 53% less plastic than standard bread bags, which the brand said can be placed into home recycling bins for kerbside collection.
