This year’s Outstanding Achievement Award goes to someone whose career in retail spans more than 30 years. Highly respected within the industry, this person has enjoyed a sound track record of business success in senior roles at a number of companies – from Marks & Spencer to WHSmith and the Co-op – and has served on the boards of both the Association of Convenience Stores and the British Retail Consortium.

Having worked as managing director of Spar UK for eight years, she moved to her current role in 2019 to take the reins of one of the UK’s largest retail co-operatives, running more than 400 stores and employing more than 7,000 people.

As its first-ever female chief executive, she has been instrumental in developing the commercial and strategic direction of the company, including its rebranding in November 2022 to Central Co-op.
