One the UK’s largest vape retailers, Evapo, has shared its perspective on a potential ban of flavoured vapes.

In a recent survey 80% of its customers reported complete cessation thanks to vaping products.

The survey also revealed that 89% of customers over 40 are vape buyers in the fruit and dessert categories.

Despite this, the company recognises the issue with youth vaping and recommends several strategies including: restricting youth-appealing marketing such as flavours named after candy and desserts; neutral colour options; robust age verification standards; and licensing scheme for vaping products akin to alcohol licences with on-the-spot fines of £10,000.

Andrej Kuttruf, CEO of Evapo, commented: “We believe that with responsible enforcement of existing laws and a robust licensing scheme, we can prevent youth access to vaping products without compromising the invaluable role that vaping plays in helping smokers quit.

“Our commitment to a smoke-free future remains unwavering, and we stand ready to collaborate on solutions that safeguard both our youth and the public’s health.”
