Country Choice responds to bread growth with new loaves

Country Choice has added three speciality loaves to its portfolio, in response to research which said sales of in-store bakery loaves are up by 7.5%.

The range consists of a 315g Sourdough Bloomer, a 310g West Country Farmhouse Cheddar Cheese Bloomer, and a 285g Ciabatta Loaf. All loaves have a one day shelf life once baked.

Kantar figures show that sales of bread and baked goods rosé by 18% in value and 16% in volume in March, just as lockdown hit.
