The 2,168sq ft store on Baker Street will run on 100% renewable electricity and its coffee brand features a wide range of Fairtrade products.

The store involved an investment of more than £2m and will support 50 jobs.

Muhammed Rahman, Co-op area manager, said: “We are really excited to open the new store on Baker Street and have the opportunity to bring our first Ever Ground coffee counter to such a busy, vibrant area.”
