The machine will provide “authentic Italian recipes” made from 100% Arabica coffee, certified by the Rainforest Alliance in both medium (12oz) and large formats (16oz), served in Lavazza-branded paper cups.

The machine’s menu includes coffee shop favourites – Espresso, Flat White, Cappuccino, Latte, Americano, Mocha – Pukka organic teas, and Thornton’s hot chocolate.

The system, which has a surface area of 1200mm by 740mm, features an inbuilt fridge to ensure fresh milk.

Lavazza says there will be no up-front costs or investments for retailers – it will supply the machine and product. Each machine will be installed, serviced and maintained free of charge by Lavazza’s distribution partner, Expresso Plus, and the companies will also provide on-going training and sales support.

In addition, Lavazza will provide branded POS materials alongside each machine to increase visibility and drive awareness and cup sales.
